All is Right in the Universe

All is Right in the Universe

I remember our eyes

Gazing at the skies

One for each of us

& yet it didn’t matter then

No matter how fractured this mind

The stars weren’t privy to judge

We were all as we should’ve been

Alive in the palm of the universe’s hand

Cradled in the life she’d given

Free to be all we were—

Scattered stardust.
