Wildfire, Growing Up & The White Tulip
Wildfire
The bright red flames shown so bright as it burned all life away.
Each day and night the fire crackled and the heat so bare.
As time passed on each tree each plant each life was cast away.
The wind breeze fell in favor and constant howling of the wind gave the fire.
The smoke so dense and black covering the sunlight to eternal night.
As it cast over a blanket of darkness, the flames showed brighter as it grew larger at bay.
The bright red flames scourged the once beloved forest and left behind an unwanted gift of fire.
Animals from around the kingdom ran in fear of burning alive. So many fled but so many lost
their life.
Their homes now charred and blackened nowhere else to flee away.
Birds wept and screeched for help, as the groundhogs dug holes to hide, and the fish swam to the
lowest depths of night.
As the forest was quiet, you can hear the fire moving across the forest and the wind at its aid.
The land animals with the moose, the ducks, and the foxes fled to the earth and the water as it
was the fire’s worst enemy to bear.
The bright red flames have been at odds with water since the beginning of life.
Wars came and went, the clash of water and fire in contact and the steam and sizzle as it clashed
at night.
Soon came the Earth and Wind neutral but active with the adversaries at odds with each other.
From the massive flames so high, larger than any tree, the smoke seeping into the atmosphere.
With the ferocious battle at no end, the animals watched as their beautiful home became a battle
of fire.
At ground zero the birds spotted a peculiar site to witness to bare.
The bright red flames were beginning to become too difficult to fly over but the bird was eager to
fly away.
As he swept across the land and the wind pushing against his dark feathers, he found it bare.
Once the bird found the source, he wrapped himself in his cloak and dived down into the fire.
The flames were crackling and breaking trees, and he could hear the branches break one by one.
The spot of all the difficulties a sphere shiny and silver reflecting the bird’s image at night.
The bird pecked at the sphere and rolled away from him like an attack was within for life.
The bright red flames were consuming everything living and bringing it to a charred end.
The smell of burnt bark could be smelt from miles away like a massive campfire at night.
The animals gathered around and sang a hymn to pass the time but not of joy but of fear of life.
The bird was investigating the foreign object but had to act swiftly the wildfire was coming back.
As the bird had enough, he grabbed the sphere with his talons but couldn’t get a firm grip to get
away.
He kept scratching and pulling but it would not submit the bird was getting nervous at the fire.
The bright red flames were getting closer, and the bird could not fly without proof of life.
With all its might the bird tried again and again and finally succeeded and flew out from the
smoke and fire.
As the bird coughed from breathing the smoke, he dropped the sphere and clunked to the ground.
The animals surrounded the poor bird but heard no heartbeat and the bird died with pride and
flew so high away.
As the animals investigated the silver sphere the sun creeped out and reflected from the sphere.
From the reflection, it was pointing to a mountain in the distance a new home at last from the
dark night.
The bright red flames were dying down as a storm brewed above and washed away the fire.
As they witnessed their home, they mourned for their fellow friend and moved onto the mountain of life.

The White Tulip
Thy days, pure and warm for thy flower was born
The sky ‘twas ocean blue and puddles dirty as goo
The grass so big and vast like ‘twas reborn
The flower bright as day and light as hue
When night arrives, a storm appeared evil as can be
The lightning shined so bright and fast, then back asleep
Rain and thunder consume the sound, of screams and plea
Thy flower begged for help but died from its shrieks
After hours of horror, the devil’s storm finally flew away
The valley was destroyed by thy tears of the grace
The little flower perished in combat and wept till decay
For when ‘twas erased from time, anew came in place
The flower rises as day, the clouds were straight
When night falls upon, it soon will meet its fate
